How can I develop my resiliency to grow, learn and contribute to a community?
REMINDER: TOMORROW IS REPSOL TRIP -> DRYLAND so the boys will bring their indoor shoes with them to change into at the gym.
We went to Grade 3 class so they could share the windmills that they built. When they put them up to the fan they spun really fast and generated electricity to light up the light bulb. They talked about how they made them by gluing with hot glue guns, pipes and motors. We also learned that water pumps windmills. We reached our Daily 5 goal of reading for 12 minutes 10 times so our reward is to watch a muppets movie! For journal, we had a sharing circle about our weekend. Than we made the learning goal to write in complete sentences with capitals, periods, finger spaces and to read our writing to make sure it makes sense. We had our final rehearsal practice this morning of the two routines we performed. One was a chant with some clapping and stomping. The second was a Hip Hop song where we showed off our choreographed moves. At the end Ms.Nicole the dance teacher got everyone up to dance to a themed Christmas Hip Hop song!
We finished the body of the buffalo today. In the process we realized that some pieces had to be trimmed because they did not quit fit and a hole at the end had to be filled with more cardboard. We also looked at the legs and realized they were not all the same height so we had to cut them. Once the legs were cut we figured out that the best way to put them on would be to tip the buffalo on it's side and attach them. Overall it took alot of tape and team work but it is standing! |
