How can I develop my resiliency to grow, learn and contribute to a community?
Tomorrow is Repsol. Boys will be swimming so they need to bring their gear please! Next tuesday March 7th the boys will be taking a half day trip to the Sports Hall of Fame organized by Mr.Vanderlinden. Please return forms as soon as possible and no later than Friday March 2nd. If you would like to volunteer for the trip and have security clearance please email Mrs.Chilton and an additional form will be sent home. Math We talked about what a number line is and how it is a math tool that can help us count, add and subtract. We looked at 2 different numbers line and talked about what we noticed. We noticed than the numbers get bigger as you go right and smaller as you go left. We will continue talking and practicing this strategy this week. Storytelling
We got into our multi aged groups for the first time and practiced presenting our stories to our group. The boys did a great job for their first attempt and we will continue to do this daily until the big performance night. Science To prepare for our Arctic research we practiced logging on to the laptops and than going to a website. The website is: http://www.alaskakids.org/index.cfm This is one of the several websites we will be using to find information about our Arctic Animals. We also created criteria for finding all of the information we will need for our investigation using a target rubric. The boys will practice using it in order to help guide them in their research and self assess as they go. We continue to add to the target as well as we go through so the boys have a clear understanding of what the learning goal is. Comments are closed.
